Abstract

If in the early seventies Papanek stated that design was a dangerous profession for creating new and indestructible forms of garbage; in the late nineties, Margolin urged designers to reinvent design culture, publicize the powerful contribution that design could make to create a sustainable world, and work interdisciplinarily with biologists, agronomists, forestry experts, urban planners, waste management engineers, among many others. Precisely, the sixth edition of Revsita Base seeks to advance in this line and promote conversations that highlight the role of design in addressing global challenges.
