Resumen

Baruch de Spinoza y Pierre Bayle son típicos pensadores modernos que construyeron la tolerancia religiosa sobre la subjetivación gnóstica de la fe, el racionalismo teológico y el absolutismo del Estado. A pesar de que uno defiende la libertad de filosofar y otro, los derechos de la conciencia errónea, en ambos sistemas la ley fundamental es la autoconservación del Estado, la moderna raison d’État.
